A Family Business with Traditional Values
KP has accumulated nearly half a century of experience manufacturing Chinese herbs and nutraceuticals, but the beginnings of the business stretch back five generations ago to a small, family-owned herb shop.

Practice of fine herbal preparation began when the ancestor of the Tsai family, Tsai Liang-Hai, first landed in Taiwan in 1892. There, he opened a small herb shop committed to the simple goal of providing the highest quality of nourishing herbs, feeling a special duty towards the ailing people located there. With his sincere dedication, he earned the respect of the people and unknowingly planted the seeds that would grow into what the world now knows as Kaiser Pharmaceuticals. At their great grandfather's modest herb shop located in the rural town of Guan Miao, six sons grew up spending each day inhaling the sweet fragrances of Chinese herbs and sampling the finest preparations of herbal teas. They took it upon themselves to uphold his legacy of selecting and preparing only the finest, most effective herbs for people. The six brothers' common passion fostered a spirit of collaboration and unusual sacrifice, and together they devoted their distinct skills to perfecting the shop's herbs. By maintaining unwavering focus on the quality of the herbs and constantly refining their expertise, their reputation grew and business naturally thrived, eventually giving rise to KP's present day form.

This year, KP completed the world's most advanced herbal manufacturing facility with an area of four football fields, or 28 baseball diamonds. Now, with the involvement of the next generation of the Tsai family, we are still looking forward to extending the benefits of our Chinese herbs into new corners of the world. Despite our expansion into a larger factory and our outward corporate appearance, herbs still course through our veins and we still uphold the basic values of our original family business. As always, our steady growth depends on the strong traditional values of diligence, loyalty, and responsibility towards our employees, partners and, most importantly, you.
